The romance between Liam Neeson and Pamela Anderson is reported to be ‘over’ after the couple finish their promotion of their latest film.

The duo has been the subject of romantic speculation in recent weeks while taking part in a promotional tour for their new film, The Naked Gun, a remake of the original trilogy. Liam stars as Lt. Frank Drebin Jr., the son of Leslie Nielsen’s lead character, Frank Drebin, while Pamela plays a character named Beth.

With flirty appearances from the pair on red carpets and both of them gushing about each other, the gossip was rife that this pair were loved up and dating. However, it now appears the couple have ‘broken up’. It comes after Pierce Brosnan says he thought he was ‘wrongly cast’ in Netflix’s Thursday Murder Club.

According to Rob Shuter’s exclusive report on Substack the couple’s romance has ended, but it also reportedly never happened in the first place.

An inside source revealed to Shuter that Anderson and Neeson’s “romance” was a facade to increase the sales of the film’s tickets. They explained, “Their chemistry was real on camera, but off? It was strictly business.”

They added, “Pamela Anderson is a pro, Liam Neeson is a pro — they knew leaning into the rumors would get attention.”

The pair were spotted at numerous events together looking cosy, but now that their film’s promotional run has ended, they’ve parted ways.

The source continued, “That’s because there was no relationship to begin with. It was clever marketing. People want to believe in romance, and Hollywood knows love stories move tickets.”

The pair’s fans will be devastated by the news, as they made it clear they want the romance rumors to be true.

Despite not being in a relationship, Pamela has only ever had positive things to say about her co-star.

She told OK! magazine that she feels comfortable in his company and said, “He’s such a gentleman, such a sweetheart, so giving and generous, and so complimentary and supportive that, you know, you can’t help but fall in love with him.”

Pamela also said they share “chemistry” off-set, and that Liam is “a bit silly”. She added he “has that little boy sense of humor and he’s funny,” before she revealed, “On set, I don’t think we broke too much, but in rehearsals, we’d be playing around and having a bit of a laugh.”

Pamela also previously talked about her “natural chemistry” with Liam in the film. During their appearance on the Today Show, she said, “We just had this natural chemistry, and we had a great script, a great director.” Liam added, “And we’re both silly,” to which Pamela responded, “Yeah.”
