Actress Elaine Hendrix just turned “Dedication Night” on “Dancing with the Stars” into one of the most touching moments of the season. The “Parent Trap” actress hit the ballroom alongside her pro partner, Alan Bersten, for a foxtrot dance dedicated to her longtime friend and co-star, Lisa Ann Walter. Yep, the same Lisa who played Chessy to Elaine’s Meredith Blake in the 1998 Disney classic. And this time, it wasn’t about rivalry; it was all about love, friendship, and gratitude.
WARNING: This post was updated LIVE as the October 14, 2025 episode aired and contains spoilers for Week 5 of “Dancing with the Stars.”
From Meredith & Chessy to Pure Emotion
Elaine’s dedication to Lisa Ann Walter came straight from the heart. Before her performance, she shared how much their friendship has meant over the years… especially after decades in Hollywood.
The energy carried right onto the dance floor. Their song choice, “This Will Be (An Everlasting Love)” by Natalie Cole, fit the moment perfectly. Elaine floated through Alan’s emotional choreography with poise and grace, blending classic theatricality with real vulnerability. And seeing Lisa appear on the floor alongside Elaine and Alan was a wonderful moment.
It seems like this was the night Elaine truly let her guard down. She’s always been sharp, composed, and full of wit (just like Meredith Blake herself), but this time, her performance was stripped back and deeply personal. Every turn and reach felt like a thank-you in motion; a celebration of enduring friendship and shared history.
Finding Her Groove
It seems like Elaine’s been building toward a breakthrough performance all season, and this might’ve been it. While some of her earlier dances leaned on her natural poise and acting chops, this one was purely from the heart. And Alan (ever the pro) guided her through it with such care that the partnership felt effortless.
Their chemistry continues to grow each week, blending Elaine’s storytelling instincts with Alan’s ability to pull emotion out of every movement. Together, they managed to create a performance that was more than just dance… it was love in motion.

The Scores Are In
“Dedication Night” seems to bring out all the emotion, but Elaine Hendrix and Alan Bersten took it to another level. It was tender, powerful, and deeply personal; proof that dance can do more than entertain; it can heal.
Bruno Tonioli: 8/10
Derek Hough: 7/10
Carrie Ann Inaba: 8/10
Kym Johnson (Guest Judge): 7/10
That gave Elaine and Alan a total of 30/40. Whether or not they top the leaderboard, this was the performance that might define their season.
UPDATE: Everyone is SAFE! Scores will carry over to next week.
