Keanu Reeves and longtime girlfriend Alexandra Grant made a glamorous entrance at the opening of Reeves’s Broadway debut. On Sunday, the couple arrived hand in hand at New York City’s Hudson Theatre, where Reeves starred as Estragon in the revival of Waiting for Godot.

Grant wore an elegant black dress with a square neckline and accessorized with a diamond necklace, earrings, and bracelets. Meanwhile, Reeves wore a black suit jacket with a gray tie, pinstripe trousers, and boots.

Their outing came less than a week after they shut down wedding rumors. Following a Radar Online report that claimed they quietly tied the knot in Europe over the summer, a spokesperson for Reeves told E! News in a September 22 statement: “It is not true. On September 24, Grant also addressed the rumors in an Instagram post with a photo of her and Reeves kissing in front of an art exhibit. “This is a real photo. Not an engagement photo or an AI wedding announcement…simply a kiss! (Albeit maybe the moment right before or after it…given the slightly goofy expressions on our faces!) We’re at Roden Crater, and Keanu and Gard had just finished interviewing James Turrell for Visionaries,” she wrote. “I’m sharing it here to say thank you to everyone for the congratulations on our wedding. Except we didn’t get married. Good news is much needed these days, but it’s still fake news, so be careful out there! So, here’s a bit of real happiness!”

The pair met over a decade ago when they collaborated on their 2011 picture book, Ode to Happiness, which Reeves wrote and Grant illustrated. They went public with their romance in 2019, making their debut as a couple at the LACMA Art + Film Gala. They’ve kept most of their relationship private with just a few rare public appearances together, including their June 3 date at the L.A. premiere of Reeves’s film From the World of John Wick: Ballerina.

Grant also posted a 61st birthday tribute to Reeves on September 3. “Thank you to everyone for sending over sweet wishes for Keanu’s birthday yesterday…he was well-celebrated!” she wrote, adding, “And to Keanu—who saw this post as a draft!—I am so grateful for your love and partnership. Now back to painting! xo.”
