Taylor Swift famously urged Swifties to “make the friendship bracelets, take the moment and taste it” in the lyrics from her Midnights-era song “You’re On Your Own, Kid”—and now she’s taking her own advice. Not only did she inspire a global Eras tour tradition of making friendship bracelets and trading them with fellow fans, but Travis Kelce also famously shot his shot with Swift herself with a bracelet decorated with his phone number (And of course, the rest is history). Now, it appears Swift is super-sizing the trend and spending $13,000 on a gigantic, one-of-a-kind friendship bracelet with a very special meaning.

It’s likely the “Blank Space” singer has received hundreds of bracelets throughout her nearly two-year-long Eras tour, but Swift is trying to buy a huge version that’s a reminder of her discography-spanning tour. According to Louisiana news outlet 4WWL, Swift has arranged to purchase the giant inflatable friendship bracelet that hung in New Orleans’ Caesar Superdome during her performance there. Per the publication, the Louisiana Stadium and Exposition District will finalize the purchase later this week, and Firefly Entertainment Inc. will ship and deliver the giant inflatable to one of Swift’s many homes or storage units.

It’s unknown exactly where Swift plans to hang the 140-foot colorful sign, which reads, “Taylor Swift The Eras Tour,” but it’s a sentimental celebration of her record-breaking tour—as well as the sweet romance with Kelce that blossomed as a result of it.

The Kansas City Chiefs player famously started his love story with Swift by trying to give her a friendship bracelet with his number on it while attending her Eras Tour stop in Arrowhead Stadium in July 2023. While he was unsuccessful, Swift later said they began hanging out shortly after he put her “on blast” on his podcast New Heights with Jason and Travis Kelce.

Later on, Kelce also admitted he had someone “playing cupid” while talking about their romance’s origins in an interview with WSJ Magazine.

“There were definitely people she knew that knew who I was, in her corner [who said]: ‘Yo! Did you know he was coming?’ I had somebody playing Cupid,” he shared. The football player also said Swift reached out after his podcast episode, revealing, “She told me exactly what was going on and how I got lucky enough to get her to reach out.”
