Kelsey Plum was guarding Veronica Burton with less than four minutes to go and Golden State leading comfortably 68- As Burton attempted to dribble past Plum, the latter stuck out the left leg and tripped up her opponent:

Thankfully, Burton wasn’t seriously injured on the play. Plum was issued a flagrant 1 foul, and Burton would make both free throws to extend the lead. Golden State

went on to win 72-59, improving to 15-15 on the season.

It was a frustrating game all around for Kelsey Plum, who finished with four points, as many rebounds and assists in the loss. She was just 1-of-9 from the field and missed all four shot attempts from beyond the arc.

Plum and the Sparks don’t have much time to reflect on Saturday’s loss, as they return home on Sunday to host the Seattle Storm in the first of a short two-game homestand. After that, the Sparks will host the New York Liberty on Tuesday.
