While making her way to the 2025 Met Gala, Kim Kardashian’s Chrome Hearts dressed became a tripping hazard for one security guard, who took a slight stumble while helping the reality star to her car.

Some people just can’t keep up with Kim Kardashian‘s 2025 Met Gala look.

Case in point: The unfortunate security detail who stumbled over the Kardashians star’s Chrome Hearts dress moments before her red carpet arrival. (Click here to see all celebrity fashion looks.)

As seen in a video circulating on social media, the bodyguard tripped over the train of Kim’s leather gown as she exited The Mark Hotel in New York City.

But Kim appeared to be a good sport about the slip-up, holding out her hand to support him in case he fell. And after the security guard steadied himself, the 44-year-old continued to make her way to the car.

While Kim and ex Kanye West‘s 11-year-old daughter North West was also seen exiting the hotel, she did not walk the red carpet at the Metropolitan Museum of Art with her mom. After all, the Met Gala—which was themed “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style” this year with a “Tailored for You” dress code—has required all guests and attendees to be at least 18 years old.

Still, Kim was in good company, as younger sisters Kendall Jenner and Kylie Jenner were also in attendance.

For the occasion, Kendall, 29, stepped out in a Torishéju suit-inspired dress that featured a cleavage-bearing neckline and maxi skirt with a train.

Meanwhile, Kylie, 27, rocked a custom Ferragamo halter gown that had a sheer corset bodice and long tweed skirt with a high slit.

So, how do the Kardashian-Jenners prepare for fashion’s biggest night?

“It’s like the wedding of fashion,” Kim’s longtime hairstylist Chris Appleton told E! News in April. “For the glam team, it’s their ultimate time to glow.”

Given how photographers can “zoom in on everything” once a celeb hit the Met Gala carpet, Chris said “HD cameras and lighting makes a big difference.”

He added, “It’s the ultimate storytelling in fashion and beauty. I think it’s really time for people to shine. So, for me, it’s always going to be a look.”
