Many people have spoken out against Elon Musk following his move into Trump’s government and support of key far-right political parties, but one 98-year-old British Army veteran has gone one step further, crushing a Tesla vehicle with a Sherman tank from World War II.

Musk has had his far share of detractors from Bill Gates to SNL, but many have chosen to target the richest man in the world through his electric car company Tesla.

While it could be argued that Musk himself has done the most damage to Tesla over the past year, as its tumbling stock market value is likely linked to his new role as head of the Department of Government Efficiency, many protestors have used the electric vehicles as a means of hitting back at the billionaire.

Large scale protests, general vandalism, and even gunshots have been used to retaliate against Musk through Tesla vehicles and dealerships, and one army veteran has used a unique twist to send a message he feels is vital in the current political climate.

As shared by infamous hacking group Anonymous on X – who have had their own fair share of spats with Musk – the video shows 98-year-old British Army vet Ken Turner abreast of an actual Sherman tank that served alongside him during the Second World War.

“I’m old enough to have seen fascism the first time around, now it’s coming back,” Turner details while sat in the cockpit of the tank. “Elon Musk, the richest man in the world, is using his immense power to support the far-right in Europe, and his money comes from Tesla cars.

“Well, I’ve got this message for Mr Musk,” Turner continues. “We’ve crushed fascism before, and we’ll crush it again. So let’s go, shall we?”

Turner then begins the Sherman tank’s slow crawl towards the Tesla vehicle – sporting a ‘FASCISM’ numberplate – before crushing it in brutal fashion, leaving little to speak of in the aftermath.

Many in the replies applauded Turner’s commitment, with one comment writing that “a 98-year-old rolling up in a tank to crush fascism isn’t just poetic – it’s living, roaring proof that the fight for justice never retires.”

Another joked that “Teslas would be stronger if they were made out of toilet paper rolls,” referencing the ease at which the Sherman crushed Musk’s vehicle.

Some aren’t quite on board with the message, seeing it as a waste that Musk still emerges victorious from. “Just think he could’ve sold the car and donated the money to needy children, instead of doing this ridiculous misguided stunt,” argues one comment, although if you go by Bill Gates it seems like Musk himself isn’t exactly helping children around the world either.

“Yeah he really owned Elon Musk by *checks notes* buying one of his cars and making sure no after-sales support will ever be required,” writes another, yet in the eyes of those making the video, it’s likely that the message being spread was worth the cost of the vehicle.
