Jon Bon Jovi Breaks Silence on Millie Bobby Brown & Son’s Baby

Two months after Millie Bobby Brown and husband Jake Bongiovi announced they had adopted a baby girl, Jon Bon Jovi detailed his sweet bond with his granddaughter.

In love with his granddaughter? Jon Bon Jovi is well over halfway there.

Two months after Millie Bobby Brown, 21, and Jake Bongiovi, 23, shared they had adopted a baby girl, the Bon Jovi frontman detailed his bond with the family’s new little one.

“Immediately you fall in love,” Jon gushed during an appearance on Today Oct. 23. “You know, when we met Jake and Millie’s daughter, it was just immediate. You’re like, ‘That’s my granddaughter.’”

Indeed, the 63-year-old—who shares Jake, as well as Stephanie, 32, Jesse, 30, and Romeo, 21 with wife Dorothea Hurley—also couldn’t help but reveal his chosen grandfather name, ‘Papa,’ as he admitted he will treat his grandbaby like a princess.

As he gushed, “She won’t be able to walk for at least 10 or 12 years because Papa will be carrying her everywhere she goes.”

The “Livin’ on a Prayer” singer also assured that he would one day perform for his family’s newest addition, assuring to Today’s Savannah Guthrie, “I count on that.”

For Millie and Jake’s part, they have kept their early parenting days mostly under wraps, though Millie did recently assure her Stranger Things costars during a press tour game that she already feels as though she can’t live without her daughter—or Jake for that matter.

“It’s the same thing,” she reasoned in an Oct. 16 Time interview with her costars. “Because without her, there’s no him—so it’s the same thing.”

The couple—who tied the knot in May 2024 after three years of dating—also shared a peek of their baby Oct. 9 in a photo dump the Enola Holmes star shared to Instagram. One photo reveals the new parents squeezing their heads together as they cradle their baby, with Millie also paying tribute to Taylor Swift’s The Life of a Showgirl in the caption, writing, “My t swift October.”

Millie and Jake shared they had adopted their baby girl in August, after they were photographed walking with a stroller in New York.

“This summer we welcomed our sweet baby girl through adoption,” the couple wrote in a statement to Instagram Aug. 21. “We are beyond excited to embark on this next chapter of parenthood in both peace and privacy.”

The new parents added, “And then there were three.”

“This summer, we welcomed our sweet baby girl through adoption,” the couple announced in an Aug. 21 Instagram post. “We are beyond excited to embark on this beautiful next chapter of parenthood in both peace and privacy.”

They concluded, “And then there were 3.”
