Elon Musk has revealed the reason he wants to colonise Mars, following a warning about the future of Earth.
The richest man in the world hasn’t held back his plans to sustain human life on the Red Planet.
Already, his space exploration company SpaceX is actively building technology that it hopes will make travelling there a possibility.
With an ambitious timelines ‘around 20 to 30 years,’ the SpaceX founder claims the company’s Starship rocket has the ‘potential to make life multi-planetary, make us a multi-planet civilisation for the first time in the history of Earth.’
Now, on a Fox News interview, the Tesla CEO answered why so many of his resources are going into reaching Mars. Turns out, there’s a much more sinister reason at play.

“Mars is life insurance for life collectively,” Musk firmly replied. “So, eventually, all life on Earth will be destroyed by the Sun.
The Sun is gradually expanding, and so we do at some point need to be a multi-planet civilisation because Earth will be incinerated.”
The South African added that his plans are far beyond visiting the Red Planet and more about ensuring the ‘self-sustaining survival of civilisation’ over there.
“We have a long way to go because it’s not just about landing on Mars and doing flags and footprints,” he explained.
NASA scientists back up the grim prediction, saying that the Sun will eventually run out of energy. “When it starts to die, the Sun will expand into a red giant star, becoming so large that it will engulf Mercury and Venus, and possibly Earth as well,” the US space agency stated.

However, the experts at NASA assured that this phenomenon wouldn’t begin for another five billion years.
Despite the non-immediate threat though, Musk wants to prepare humanity now so that one day the mission will ‘grow by itself’ in case Earth’s civilisation collapses for any reason.
“If the resupply ships are necessary for Mars to survive, then we have not created life insurance. We’ve not created life insurance for life collectively,” Musk continued. “So that’s the key point in the future where [the] destiny of life, as we know it, will forever be affected, is when Mars becomes self-sustaining.”
In the meantime, the MAGA influencer has explained his worry about the falling birth rates, calling it the ‘single biggest problem’ for human civilisation. In response, Musk has mentioned using ‘surrogates’ to ‘reach legion-level before the apocalypse’ and even offered his sperm for the future Mars population before it’s too late.
