Travis Kelce said he loves watching his girlfriend Taylor Swift perform, as she can make a packed stadium as cozy as a small room.

Rugby player Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift have been dating for the past 2 years. Responding to a recent magazine, Travis Kelce said that 12 years of working with rugby has helped him understand what it means to sacrifice, train and squeeze out to compete.

Not only Travis Kelce works hard in the gym, he said that his girlfriend Taylor Swift also works hard to prepare for shows.

“I’ve never met anyone in the same situation as me, and I have a partner who understands the pressures and ups and downs of being in front of millions of people,” Kelce said of their private but high-profile relationship.

When Swift regularly appeared in the stands to cheer him on, he responded by attending her more than three-hour Eras Tour performances around the world.

“Seeing her exhausted after the show, I felt very sympathetic. She may not think of herself as an athlete, she will never say it. But I’ve seen everything she does, and it’s incredible,” Kelce said.

Travis Kelce said he was amazed to see what Taylor Swift has done and experienced.

Taylor Swift used to train for the tour by singing a full set of songs while running, something that even Kelce – a professional athlete – found quite harsh.

He compared the Eras Tour’s stage to “a giant computer the size of a football field” and said that in performance venues like Singapore, the entire stage can radiate “scorching” heat.

“You just feel the heat from the machine, the sun… had to perform for 3 hours with explosive energy in each song,” Kelce described.

Although he is also a global star himself, Kelce said that when he is with Swift, he is happy to be a companion.

Kelce was excited to see Swift’s show because he was a real fan: “I love music, I love art. And it’s great to see her make my ‘special spectator’ on the football field… I also have the same feeling of happiness every time she comes to watch me play.”

The couple had fun on a trip.

Kelce is also not afraid to take credit for turning Swift into a rugby fan: “She’s a big fan now. She knows the injury report board, understands special situations… Because she likes to hear me talk about her work.”

He also couldn’t hide his admiration for Swift’s ability to connect with the audience, which made a stadium of 65,000 people warm: “She’s so good that it makes everyone feel like they’re in a private meeting. That alone exudes calmness and confidence. She is beautiful and makes everyone feel comfortable.”

As the 2025-2026 season is about to start, Kelce will have many more opportunities to see Swift in the stands, cheering on her boyfriend with all his might.
