Sophie Turner confessed that kissing former Game of Thrones costar Kit Harington for their upcoming movie The Dreadful was terrible, recalling, “It was the worst.”

Sophie Turner might have found something even worse than winter.

In fact, the Game of Thrones alum shared how absolutely awful it was when Kit Harington—who played her adopted brother on the iconic HBO series—was cast as her lover in their upcoming movie The Dreadful.

“I sent the script to Kit,” Sophie recalled on Late Night With Seth Meyers Aug. 14. “He sent me a message back, going, like, ‘Yeah, I’d love to. This is going to be really f–king weird, Soph.’”

And despite having read the script by writer and director Natasha Kermani, Sophie—who is also a producer on the film—had to look back through it before she realized what he was talking about.

“I was reading it, and I’m like, ‘Kiss, kiss, sex, kiss, sex,’” she exclaimed. “And then I’m like, ‘Oh, shoot, that’s my brother.’”

But the duo agreed the script was too good to pass up and chose to “put it out of our minds,” according to the 29-year-old.How Sophie Turner Accidentally Caused a Celeb Couple to Break Off Engagement
“Then we get on set,” Sophie explained. “It’s the first kissing scene, and we are both retching. Like, really, it is vile. It was the worst—another really bad moment in my career.”

According to Sophie—who shares daughters Willa, 4, and Delphine, 2, with ex-husband Joe Jonas—filming that scene with Kit was actually worse than when she was covered in real life rats and cockroaches for her new film Trust.

Still, the two made it work, with Sophie adding that there was no one else she could think of for the role aside from Kit, who is married to their former GOT costar Rose Leslie.

Needless to say, the pair got even closer while filming The Dreadful, in which she stars as Anne, a woman who lives a harsh, solitary life with her mother-in-law on the outskirts of town. But Anne’s life changes when Jago (Kit), a man from her past, returns.

Still, the former Sansa Stark isn’t likely to forget the romantic scenes she and Kit shared anytime soon.

“Sorry guys,” Sophie told Vogue in July. “It’s really weird for all of us.”

Technically, Brooks’s sister Grace Ann Nader spilled the beans on this one, revealing that the Sports Illustrated model and her Dancing With the Stars partner Gleb Savchenko did more than just rehearse their dance moves behind the scenes.

“I can tell you firsthand,” Grace Ann said on the Chicks In the Office podcast in May 2025, “every time I visited Brooks’s trailer, the trailer was shaking every single time. I never wanted to go in there. I was always knocking.”

As for Brooks, who had freshly broken up with estranged husband Billy Haire, she joked, “The trailer thing was probably why we didn’t win.”
