Jon Bon Jovi and Matthew McConaughey are legends in their own right. However, they are coming together in a way that fans never could have expected.

No, they are not starring in a movie together, nor is McConaughey appearing in a Bon Jovi video. Instead, the two men are inviting fans to an epic Brooklyn event.

Taking to Instagram, McConaughey revealed that part of his upcoming book tour will include him chatting with Bon Jovi. The poster reads “Matthew McConaughey Poems & Prayers Revival Book Tour with Special Guest Jon Bon Jovi Sept. 16 at Kings Theatre in Brooklyn.”

It’s seriously going to be an event where fans will see the rocker and actor like never before. However, McConaughey didn’t give any details away in his caption, writing, “@jonbonjovi Poems & Prayers – Revival Book Tourbook + tickets : poemsprayers.com.”

Fans flocked to the comments section to share their excitement. “Now this is going to be a legendary conversation in New York 🔥🙌.”

Another fan shared, “This one is the closest to me…and, JBJ 😮 yowza!!”, while one stated, “This is going to be legendary!!! Would love to be there! Can you guys come to Split, Croatia?”

What is Poems & Prayers?

McConaughey may be best known for his films like Dallas Buyers Club, Magic Mike, and How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days, but he’s also become quite the author.  Poems & Prayers is McConaughey’s fifth book and comes out on September 16, which happens to be the same night the tour kicks off in Brooklyn.

According to Amazon, the book is an inspiring, faith-filled book featuring a collection of McConaughey’s poems and prayers that have helped him navigate this thing called life.

The tour for the book will consist of performances, music, and special conversations, much like he will have with Bon Jovi in Brooklyn. Each night will be vastly different depending on the vibe and the guests.

McConaughey is taking his Poems & Prayers Revival Book Tour on road, where he’ll stop by Nashville with Lukas Nelson, Los Angeles with John Mayer, Tulsa with Zach Bryan, and his hometown of Austin with Jon Batiste.

News of Bon Jovi teaming up with McConaughey comes hot on the heels of the rocker becoming a first-time grandfather. As Parade reported, his son Jake and daughter-in-law Millie Bobby Brown announced they are parents to a beautiful baby girl via adoption.
