Amber Heard reveals new career move to supporters after changing her name and moving to Spain
Amber Heard has stepped away from the spotlight in recent years
Amber Heard seems to have officially left the film industry behind her.
Since Heard’s explosive and very public divorce from Johnny Depp the 39-year-old has carved out a completely new life for herself.
She relocated to Spain and is now a mom-of-three after welcoming twins earlier this year.
Announcing the news of her two newborn babies, Heard penned on social media in May: “Mother’s Day 2025 will be one I’ll never forget. This year I am elated beyond words to celebrate the completion of the family I’ve strived to build for years. Today I officially share the news that I welcomed twins into the Heard gang. My daughter Agnes and my son Ocean are keeping my hands (and my heart) full.”
Heard is believed to still be living in the European country having moved there some years ago. In her last update she said she was living in the Spanish capital of Madrid.
And it seems as if the Aquaman star is living under the pseudonym Martha Jane Cannary (the real name of old-West American sharpshooter Calamity Jane).

Work wise Heard has ditched film for the theater. She has been teasing her work with the Williamstown Theatre Festival since June on her Instagram page.
Heard starred in Spirit of the People, with her string of shows having recently drawn to a close.
The play is half Spanish — a dialect Heard speaks fluently.
In the wake of Sprit of the People‘s run ending over the weekend, Heard shared a snap of herself surrounded by bouquets of flowers.
“Thank you to all of my fans and supporters for making this already unforgettable weekend so much more beautiful,” she wrote, adding: “The flowers won’t last forever but the memories of all the love and support I received through this, will.”

Heard has received rave reviews for her performance.
Vanity Fair penned about the star: “Amber Heard’s command of the stage, exceptional particularly for someone in her professional theatrical debut. As one of the three emotional anchors in the rangy, often surreal play, her character is cut from the same cloth as Blanche DuBois and her ilk: a torrid backstory and a thinning grasp on reality.
“Heard is not only eloquent and beautiful (and fluent in Spanish), but she embodies the fragility and resilience of a classic Tennessee Williams heroine.”
Elsewhere her fans have praised Heard too. Somebody replied to her Instagram post: “Congratulations on an incredibly successful run with your play! It was an honor and a privilege to have the opportunity to see you perform & I can’t wait to see what you do next.”
“You deserve this. Sending you all the love,” added another.

Amber Heard has no new movies on the way after changing her name and moving to Spain
Amber Heard has seemingly moved out of the public eye following her trial
Those hoping to see Amber Heard back on the big screen following her very public court case with ex Johnny Depp will be out of luck.
Amber Heard has since relocated to Spain with her daughter and has shown no signs of returning to the US.
The actor has even gone as far to change her name and has avoided the spotlight since the trial.
When the trial was concluded Heard, who speaks fluent Spanish, moved to Madrid with her daughter, with reports claiming she was quitting Hollywood following the backlash from the trial.
Heard had previously been seen in a small village in Mallorca living under a pseudonym, before local news outlets revealed her identity.

Since then Heard has moved to Madrid, and seemingly has no plans to return to Los Angeles any time soon.
It seems that this plan is supported by the Aquaman star’s IMDB page, which lists no upcoming projects for her.
Heard made the move to Spain after losing a defamation case against Depp in the US.
The case arose after Heard published an op-ed in The Washington Post in 2018 in which she claimed that she had been the victim of domestic abuse.
Although she did not explicitly name Depp in the piece, the actor sued Heard for defamation.
Heard responded by counter-suing Depp for $100 million, with the case going on to be covered around the globe.
In the end, a jury found in favour of both Depp’s original suit and Heard’s counter-suit.
All outstanding settlements from the case were believed to have been settled by the end of 2022, and Heard made the decision to relocate to Spain.
Speaking in 2022, a source reportedly close to Heard told PEOPLE: “She is focused on raising her daughter. She spends every day with her girl.

“They stroll around, visit parks and enjoy family time. Amber is a great mom.”
And with no upcoming projects listed on IMDB it seems apparent that Heard has no plans to return to acting in the near future at least.
The actor is said to have used the name Martha Jane Cannary, the real name of old-West American sharpshooter Calamity Jane.
Commenting on the name, El Diario de Mallorca wrote: “The choice of this identity, which appears at the entrance of her new Mallorcan home, draws much attention.
“Especially as Johnny Depp always maintained that his family trace their roots to ancient Native American tribes and that his great-great-grandmother was Cherokee.”
UNILAD has reached out to representatives of Amber Heard for comment.

Johnny Depp looks unrecognizable as he returns to Hollywood for first time since Amber Heard trial to film new movie
“Did not realise that was Johnny Depp”
Johnny Depp is starring in his first Hollywood studio movie since being asked to resign from Fantastic Beasts 3.
Depp starred in Jeanne du Barry following his legal proceedings with fellow actor and former partner Amber Heard, but it wasn’t a Hollywood production. Directed by French filmmaker Maïwenn, with a primarily French cast and crew and filmed in Versailles, the film was the first project he was on after the Depp v Heard trial.
Day Drinker subsequently marks Depp’s first studio movie since he was fired from Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore in 2020. At the time, Warner Bros. asked the actor to resign after he lost his libel case against a British newspaper group of which one outlet labeled him a ‘wife beater’.
The film tells the story of a bartender who works aboard a private yacht, bumping into a mystery onboard guest alongside a criminal figure. And the first pictures of the 61-year-old in his role have since been shared.
In the film, Depp stars as the mysterious onboard guest, the first image of him in character revealing the actor wearing a navy suit and light blue shirt.
The most striking element of the image is Depp’s long, greying hair, tied back from his face, alongside his grey beard and bright blue eyes.
In his hand he holds a – shockingly, given the film’s title – drink, and he also has a gold ring on his right hand pinky finger.
And it’s not taken long for people to weigh in on his radically changed appearance.
An Instagram user wrote: “Did not realise that was Johnny Depp till I read the caption!”
“SILVER FOX status ACTIVATEd!!!!” Another added.
A third commented: “Welcome again!!!”
And a fourth resolved: “Based on what I Heard about the script and everything, this is gonna even more HUGE than it seems, such an awesome comeback, can’t wait.”
Depp is starring alongside Outer Banks star Madelyn Cline as well as Ferrari’s Penélope Cruz, with Manu Ríos (Elite), Arón Piper (Elite), Juan Diego Botto (Good Behavior) and Anika Boyle (Made in Caravan) also reported by Variety as making up the cast.
The original screenplay was written by Zach Dean and Snow White’s Marc Webb is directing.
Day Drinker is produced by Thunder Road’s Basil Iwanyk and Erica Lee, Adam Kolbrenner and Zach Dean and is reported as beginning production in Spain.
The film is currently anticipated for release sometime in 2026.
