Anna Kepner’s family attends gut-wrenching memorial in first sighting since Florida teen slain on cruise ship
Anna Kepner’s grieving family was photographed for the first time since her mysterious death as they attended a heart-wrenching memorial service for the 18-year-old Florida cheerleader.
Kepner’s family looked heavy hearted as they arrived for the memorial at a Titusville church, with her father and stepmother slipping out of a car and moving with their heads bowed through a crowd of loved ones who turned out for the service.
It remains unclear if Kepner’s 16-year-old stepbrother – who is reportedly suspected in her death – was in attendance.

The family wore bright colors like the rest of the attendees – which they requested mourners wear instead of traditional black funeral attire.
“Please wear colors in honor of Anna’s bright and beautiful soul,” the family wrote in the girl’s obituary.
“Her favorite color was blue.”
They also asked attendees not to leave flowers at the church, but instead to leave them on her car where it was left at her school.
Kepner died while vacationing on a Carnival cruise ship with her family in early November.
Her body was found stuffed under the bunk of a cabin she was sharing with her 14-year-old brother and 16-year-old stepbrother.

She had gone back to the cabin after feeling sick and leaving the family dinner early – with her younger brother returning to find her gone, but presuming she’d gone back out to enjoy the evening.
The brother went to sleep, but when she still wasn’t there in the morning a search party was launched – with cleaning crews finding her wrapped in a sheet and stuffed under a bunk in the cabin, just feet from where her brother had been sleeping.
Her stepbrother was later reportedly named as a suspect by the FBI.
Kepler was remembered as a “beauty” who “lived every day with her whole heart” and aspired to join the Navy.

The obituary stated how much she loved her siblings, “and made sure they always felt it.” Christopher Oquendo
“She loved her siblings deeply and made sure they always felt it whether it be taking them to the park, Halloween Horror Nights, or just out for fun, because that’s who she was: thoughtful, nurturing, and always thinking of others,” her obituary read.
“She had a big, beautiful heart, often sending random “I love you” messages or little gestures that made someone’s day.”
That bright lone shone even amidst a life that was marked by apparent hardship.
Her family apparently had conflicts with her biological mother – who was asked not to attend the memorial – and her stepsiblings allegedly suffered abuse at the hand of their biological father, according to court documents obtained by The Post.
